I am sure some people would like to know more about the ‘Gayathri Mantra’ in what it can and does able one to achieve through the grace of God, (IF), one adheres to it that is.
But of course, there is much more to this mantra than just the reciting, as one must know the meaning of each word as one recites it with full expression from the heart and mind.
I have adopted the Gayathri Mantra since 1996 where it is now a part of me. Back in February 2010 Swami (Sathya Sai Baba) paid me a visit in my dream concerning this. I was standing before Swami who was with another man. This man I did feel was connected with me in some way.
After Swami had spoken with me for a few minutes, He then asked; how do you recite the Gaythri Mantra; I said, with all my heart Swami, I personally direct it to You alone.
Show me He said. I got on my knees before Swami, placed my hands in front of my face as if in prayer, then I began saying…..with all my heart Swami I offer this mantra to You…please accept it and let it raise me up.
Then I started to recite this wonderful mantra
while at times my eyes did open slightly only to keep Swami beautiful form from
disappearing. Satisfied….Swami smiled then disappeared.
This mantra is indeed the mother of ALL mantras.
